“Cool BPMN-Trainer”

Robert Gimbel, cool BPMN-Trainer

Robert Gimbel, certified 'cool BPMN-Trainer'

We provide quite a lot of customers with BPMN onsite-trainings these days. And sometimes, when our customer’s policies allow it, we ask for a nice reference quote afterwards. The nicest quote we got now comes from the “Schweizer Mobiliar Versicherung”, an insurance company in Switzerland: They testify that we have sent them a “cool Trainer” :-) Unfortunately I have not been there personally, so I have to live with the headache that I am probably not quite as cool as Robert Gimbel from our team. But anyway, a bit of that glory may shine down on the rest of us at Camunda. And hey, since even Robert’s new born son is already familiar with BPMN, I think his new certification as “cool BPMN-Trainer” won’t surprise anyone ;-)

Our BPMN 2.0 training has been a real success. The choice of subjects as well as the answers to our questions was very flexible and competently conveyed. The trainer was cool and had much practical knowledge; he didn’t conceal any problems and didn’t try to sell BPMN as the world formula. The documents were significant without being dull. The workshop was fun and we learned a lot for our daily work.

Willy and BPMN

Willy and BPMN

BPMN it too complicated for the business? Nonsense! See the prove on Willy, Roberts brand new son. Best wishes from the whole camunda team to Willy and his parents. But we are sure that nothing can happen, since all important processes are perfectly described now :-)

P.S: And camunda has an business plan B now…

Going Java Enterprise with Activiti and Jboss AS

May 09 2011 by Daniel Meyer · 6 Comments

Have you ever wondered whether processe-xml files could be picked up directly by activiti and deployed if they have changed? Or have you ever tried to use the same activiti instance with multiple applications and then invoke custom java code from the processes? We currently use activiti in a number of projects and often we get to a point where the default servlet-container-based configuration and infrastructure is not enough to satisfy all the requirements. Today, I want to briefly outline our technology stack for using activiti with Java EE. As with many of our projects, the stack is available open source for you to try out :)
