If you are going to attend this year’s CeBIT (1-5 March in Hannover, Germany), and if you are interested in BPM, you should visit our booth there as well. We are located in Hall 6, Stand K02/13 on the joint area of “Jung & Innovativ” (young and innovative). Our neighbor there, Signavio, is also young and innovative – so why not pay them a visit, too?

Finally: BPMN 2.0 officially released

It took a while, but now the official current version of the global standard for process modeling is called “BPMN 2.0″:

Now this is great news! Not only for software products already supporting BPMN 2.0 (e.g. Activiti and Signavio), but also for everyone who is applying BPMN in practice. I think 2011 is going to be a rather interesting year for Business Process Management :-) .

Yesterday I gave a talk at the Java User Group Hamburg about Activiti and BPMN 2.0. The amount of people interested was amazing (I counted over 100), even if the room was too small for this. But somehow we all managed to survive the bad air :-) Further down I linked the slides (sorry, they are in German), but a big part of the presentation was a live demo. If you missed it, I will put a Screencast of the talk online soon (but again sorry: the talk was in German). And there are still opportunities to visit this talk, since I continue the tour with that talk over Germany.

2010 has been a rather good year for camunda: We doubled the business volume, more than doubled our profit and also extended our consulting team (picture). And it seems like 2011 will become even better. Therefore, we want to define a pool of freelancers in addition to our permanently employed core team. Do not get me wrong: We will not staff our projects with any freelancer who just happens to come along. But our goal is to establish a continiously and trustful relationship with a few highly experienced and qualified people. Interesting? Here are some more information:
